My name is Hanaa Hamood. I am a mother of four wonderful children. I bring together my expertise as a mother, teacher, artist and caregiver to Hana’s Daycare. I studied Art for five years in Baghdad Institute of Fine Art (Ceramics) and then started a career in teaching. I taught first graders for seven years and also taught art for over ten years for different levels in elementary school.

I later on studied Early Child Education at Baltimore City Community College and developed my skills in early child education, infant, toddler, and preschool development.

For six years, I have worked in childcare & preschools. I have worked with infants, toddlers and children 3-5 year old.

My expertise and training include Medication Administration, Emergency Preparedness, Including All Children & American with Disabilities Act, Basic Health & Safety Training, (Infant-Child-Adult) CPR/AED/First-Aid, All Aboard for Development Progress Overview, Two-hour of Introduction to ASQ-3 & ASQ online, Support Breast Feeding & Childcare, Informal Assessment Process, NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct,  Guide to Daily Procedures, Positive Guidance, Teaching Young Children Math, Life Essentials Curriculum, STEM in the Preschool Classroom, and Teaching Young Children Science and Social Studies.

My passion toward my career was my motive to start my own daycare and turn it into a second home for children, a place where they can share, grow, play and learn at the same time.
